We are backs

I wanted to make a derpy photo entry, because they are just so cheerful and entertaining and I myself love to read them! But while scrolling through our numerous cosplay folders, I realized that we don't have that many photos with odd facial expression. Instead, we have backs. I don't know how it happens, but we usually have backshot of ourselves or each others when ever we are in costumes. Yoki toyed with an idea of an photo post of our numerous back photos and on my spare time I made it happen. So here are the many backs from our cosplay journey!

As you can see from above we have high backs at rooftops. Then we have nature backs like seen below. Nature backs are many in numbers in our photo folders, but I picked these for the swinging action.

We also have nature backs with water and gentle summer breeze. And then we have scroching summer backs with heat and dust.

We have close up backs from nearby photoshoots and far away backs (or chased backs) from location photoshoots.

We have solo and duo backs with straight and aligned camera angles.

 But my favorites are definately the ones with two backs! Sometimes both in costumes and sometimes not.

And as an extra back we have this rare theatrical dragon's back!

We've heard that our regular walking speed could be described as fast, so maybe that's the reason for all the backs...

Our Decepticon costumes could be labeled as lightweight costumes, but when we headed out with our photographer Karan on a sunny June afternoon, the amount of fabric in them felt too much. I’m just happy that we didn’t turn out all shiny and sweaty in the photos taken that day!

But the heat did affect us and it is truly visible in the photos taken that day… The sun must had melted our brain a bit, because almost half of the shots were… well, I just questioned whether I should post them or not. But then again, some of them just too funny! Random craziness and Karan’s snapshots from us.

What has happened?

My first try for the transmission number three was in winter 2010, which was a long, long time ago. Now, after the dust from the non-stop costume making process had settled, I kicked myself and here is the result.

Now Hiron will have nightmares from Luminara's cloak.

Panic? No panic... yet

Big promises were made in the beginning of this month. Hiron stated that we would make blog entries while working with the costumes for Tracon VI.

Surprise, surprise - no blog entries, but huge amount of following: searching reference pictures, pattern making, material shopping, sewing, ripping seams, drawing stencils, printing and dyeing fabric.

My "balls"

Not so soft stuff: sawing insulation material, doing negative and positive molds, sanding, putting, casting plaster, sculpting, craft foam crafting, vacuum forming.

Weirder stuff: sitting in a recording hut, voice acting, recording, fighting with audacity, embroidering.

The "hut"

Random stuff: painting, spray painting, gluing, using huge amount of tape and paper, sleeping, cursing, brain farting, nagging, death glaring, goofing, holding patents for drying components.

Casualty material: sticking oneself and others with pins, burning thyself with hot glue, cutting yourself with an utility knife, luckily just a little, breathing different types of dusts and fumes, following rainbows and flying pink elephants.

Yoki: *watches how Hiron puts on the black gloves* ..That's so creepy.

Hiron: *Megatron's voice* Come here Starscream, we got some unfinished businesses~.

Yoki: *Starscream's voice* Slagging no...

Hiron: Seriously, you need to learn how to pose like a lady. Look, twist your body like this and make a curve. *gives an example*

Yoki: Umm, like this? *tries to mimic and fails, totally*

Hiron: Okay... Good... Now loads of practice with that!

Yoki: If they could hold hands?

Hiron: ..Is the inner fangirl getting loose?

Yoki: I've no idea what you are talking about...
